Safe Neighborhoods

• Led the push to get our Police, Firefighters, E911 dispatchers, & Code Enforcement Officers the pay raises they deserved

• Secured the needed funding to begin construction on a NEW Fire Station 22 on Hollywood Road

• Legislated the installation of traffic calming measures on many local streets in our neighborhoods

Prosperous Communities and People

• Worked to add or save over 900 affordable housing units in District 9 & establish an owner-occupied rehab program for our elderly and legacy residents

• Conducted the largest Code Enforcement demolition in the City’s history – the long-vacant, dilapidated, burned apartments on Bolton Road, in addition to 200+ completed code enforcement demolitions

• Helped secure a HUD grant for redeveloping the Bowen Homes site

A Sustainable City

• Saved the historic Chattahoochee Brick site by taking a stand with the community against Norfolk Southern & Lincoln Terminal

• Completed phase I construction Westside Park and expanded Atlanta’s emergency drinking water supply from a few days to over a month

• Sponsored the Chattahoochee RiverLands plan, which envisions new parks and trails along the Chattahoochee River, Proctor Creek, and Peachtree Creek
